The SiloPicker is a target-point sampler designed for taking samples of free-flowing bulk solids directly from silos and other storage containers. It simplifies the sampling process and enables efficient collection of target point samples from specific depths or layers. A special mechanism opens the collection chamber closure only when the desired depth is reached and the collector is retracted. This allows for targeted samples to be taken for analysis or for several samples to be collected to produce a representative composite sample.

The collector's design makes it easy to penetrate the bulk material and obtain the desired sample without disturbing the surrounding material. However, the possible sampling depth is influenced by the density of the bulk material.
The SiloPicker can be disassembled into its individual parts for easy cleaning.

The SiloPicker is used to check the consistency and quality of bulk goods to ensure they meet specified standards. It is used for storage monitoring to detect spoilage, contamination, and other quality losses early on. It is also used to take samples for analysis to examine the properties of bulk goods. In agriculture, it is used to take samples of grain, animal feed, and other agricultural products directly from silos. How to use the product
  1. Immerse the sampler to the desired depth in the medium to be sampled. The sealing sleeve closes the filling opening.
  2. At the desired depth, pull the sampler back approx. 10 cm. This causes the sealing sleeve to open the filling opening.
  3. Move the sampler slightly up and down. This fills the sample container with the medium to be sampled.
  4. Pull the sampler out of the medium.
  5. Unscrew the lower part of the sample container and empty the sample into a suitable collecting vessel.

The SiloPicker can be extended with extension rods up to a maximum length of 350 cm, so that bulk materials can also be reached in deeper areas of the silo with this sampler.
