The SiloDrill Alu is very robust and offers the highest manufacturing quality at an attractive price. This makes the SiloDrill an economical solution for projects with a limited budget or for use in less aggressive environments.

The aluminum SiloDrill is lighter than the stainless steel SiloDrill, making it easier to handle and transport.

The SiloDrill is a specialized sampler designed for collecting samples of bulk materials from silos or tanks.
When bulk materials are transported long distances, the vibration and movement can cause the material layers to segregate, making it difficult to take a representative sample.

The SiloDrill takes samples from multiple layers of bulk material, allowing the quality, composition, and other relevant properties of the entire stored material to be analyzed.

The SiloDrill can fit through openings as small as 90 mm, making it highly versatile. A special mechanism makes opening and closing the sampling chamber easy with just a turn of the rugged T-handle. The spring-loaded inner tube minimizes the risk of coarse grains jamming the tube. Drilling paddles and a scraping edge allow for the sampling of caked and non-flowing bulk materials.

Typical application area of the product

The SiloDrill is used to check the quality and homogeneity of bulk materials and to detect early signs of contamination or spoilage in stored materials. It is also used to take samples for follow-up tests required to comply with legal regulations or industry standards. It is used in agriculture to sample grain, seeds, fertilizers, and animal feed; in the food industry to sample powdered and granulated foods from storage silos; and in the chemical industry to sample powdered and granulated chemicals from industrial silos.
How to use the product
  1. Attach the handle to the rod.
  2. Place the collection chamber on the rod and secure it with the safety clip.
  3. Using the handle, drill the sampler clockwise into the medium to be sampled to the desired depth (sample chamber is closed).
  4. At the desired depth, turn the sampler counterclockwise (sample chamber opens).
  5. The sample chamber is filled after approx. five turns.
  6. Turn the sampler clockwise approx. two turns (sample chamber is closed).
  7. Pull the sampler by the handle out of the medium to be sampled.
  8. Remove the safety clip and remove the collection chamber.
  9. Empty the sample into a suitable collecting vessel.

With the SiloDrill extension rods, the SiloDrill can be extended by one meter up to a maximum of 350 cm. This sampling lance can therefore also be used to reach bulk material in deeper areas of the silo.
