The Scratcher is a sampling lance that has been specially developed for sampling cohesive, caking and non-flowing substances. A scraper edge on the collection chamber transports the sample material directly into a sealable inner tube, enabling professional sampling even of cohesive powders and granulates. The scraper is ideal for target point samples from a specific plane. Despite its effective scraping edge, it is suitable for use in narrow openings from 32 mm (1.26 in.) diameter. Two additional handles allow safe insertion, fixing and rotation in the material, and the easy dismantling of the device facilitates thorough cleaning.

The scratcher powder sampler is widely used in laboratories and industries where precise sampling of non-free-flowing, clumping substances is required. This includes food, pharmaceutical, chemical and materials science, where precise and contamination-free samples are essential. Different sizes allow sampling from big bags, drums, small containers and other storage vessels.
How to use the product
- Turn the upper handle of the sampling lance clockwise.
- The sampler is closed and can be inserted into the medium to be sampled.
- At the desired depth, turn the upper handle on the sampling lance counterclockwise, the collection chamber is now open.
- Rotate the sampler through 360°. The sample is conveyed into the sample chamber through the scraping edge.
- Turn the upper handle of the sample lance clockwise. The collector is closed and can be removed from the powder/granulate.
- If necessary, close the puncture point on the container.
- Turn the sampler upside down and empty the sample through the open inner tube into a suitable collecting vessel.
