The stalk sampler is a sampler designed specifically for hay, silage, straw, herbs, shrubs or other dry, stalky plant materials where other samplers quickly become tangled. The special geometry of the auger tip cuts effectively and quickly into various stalky materials.

The hay and silage sampling auger takes samples from a silo or bale quickly, cleanly and easily. Sampling with mechanical assistance from a drill or powerful cordless screwdriver allows for effortless removal of the sample with little manual effort.
The auger can be used vertically (sampling from the top) or horizontally (sampling from the side).

The rugged and durable tube auger is made entirely of stainless steel 316L (1.4404)/1.4034 or aluminum/stainless steel 1.4034.
The handy ejector assists in emptying the sample from the auger.

Typical application area of the product

Regular sampling is required in agriculture to monitor the quality of animal feed and crop storage, as well as for quality control of stalks used as fuel.
How to use the product
  1. Attach the sample drill to the drilling machine.
  2. Place the drill bit on the sample material and allow it to rotate slowly.
  3. Carefully accelerate the sample drill and drill into the sample material to the desired depth.
  4. Pull the drill out of the sample.
  5. Remove the collecting tube from the drill
  6. Empty the sample into a suitable collecting container using the ejector.
