This polypropylene thread adapter allows for the easy connection of a ball valve (drain tap) to various drum or container threads. The adapter has a ¾″ (G 3/4″) female thread, compatible with the inlet thread of standard commercial ball valves. This means a ¾″ ball valve can be securely screwed into a drum opening without the need for special tools. Made of durable, chemically resistant PP, the adapter withstands the effects of the stored medium and ensures a leak-tight connection. With this adapter, attaching a drain tap to a drum or jerrycan is quick and simple – it provides the standard connection between different thread types.
Typical application area of the product
Wherever a drain tap needs to be retrofitted onto a drum or jerrycan – for example, to conveniently dispense liquids from a storage drum using a ball valve. In chemical storage, this adapter allows drums containing acids or bases to be quickly fitted with a tap without opening the drum.
